*Support green job opportunities and technological economic growth, so youth obtain skills and certifications to live here while businesses stay and come. Green jobs projected to increase more than 29% in Indiana over five years. “My thoughtful and transparent leadership style which is inclusive, strategic, and visionary will support this.”
*Claim hundreds of thousands of dollars in state and federal grants to be leveraged by cash in River Boat Fund and Operating Budget when possible. We could double or triple funds spent to create new projects from savings.

*Well-paying jobs and business growth. Youth have few choices, so they leave. City government in collaboration with agencies and businesses can stimulate opportunities to facilitate movement forward.
*Clean environment. With NIPSCO closing, there’s an opportunity to create new use of this space. NIRPC’s Marquette Plan outlines vacated land giving residents lake access. Envision mixed-use space.
*Safety and housing. City funds can be leveraged to fix and build homes plus upgrade properties. Grants often need a match to obtain monies. Government could be the grantor to secure resources to benefit residents.
*Cooperation. Collaboration would facilitate creative thinking to solve problems and support positive futures. Bringing diverse people together to plan projects will serve our community.
